Yes I saw her a couple of weeks ago and my first thought was the same as yours. Her outfit did look very similar to Marisol's tap.I guess not surprising since Mattel makes both dolls.I wish they had kept Stacy the size she use to be....

I was looking in Walmart today at the clearance toy aisles, when I saw the new Stacie dolls they just put out. They do not look like Stacie, I didn't realize it was Stacie until I looked at the back of the package..anyhoo...one of the dolls was a dancer, who had a black sparkly plastic top hat and baton, a pinky fringe skirt and a black leotard underneath, but the whole effect was like...'Marisol??' Has anyone else seen her? If so was that anybody else's first thought was just how much she looked like Marisol in her tap dance ouitfit.
She had darker hair too. She wasn't blonde...

Oh and don't forget to edit the post and put OT in the topic because it's off topic.

I haven't seen it, but that's interesting. I wonder if they are just out of ideas for costumes?
It's nice though because if someone couldn't afford Marisol they can get a similiar toy to play with to resemble her.
(Coming from the girl who used to cut out the 18" catalog spread, glue them to cardboard, and use them as dolls so my Kirsten doll could have friends)
I haven't seen her, but will have to look.
It might be nice for a little girl who can't afford two AG's, but would like her dolly to have a friend.
TJ Maxx has a bunch of 18" Dolls on Sale for 14.99

I did that too! Thank goodness Im not the only one!
I thought the same thing when I saw her at Target a few weeks ago. There are about 4-5 different ones. I think they are called Stacie Star and the Tap dancer one her outfit is soooo similar to Marisol's! I wanted to post about it then but I couldn't find a pic of that particular one to post. Here's a pic of the Ballet one.
